This month there was a lot of new things for Sophia: first snow, first fall, first Thanksgiving. She was also busy with other things: her grandparents came to see her, she attended Montessori parent-child class and Music with Pete at Hootenanny.
Since Sophia is crawling and cruising all over the place we called a service and baby-proofed the entire apartment. Inspired by Montessori method we started working on creating Montessori environment at home. Will talk more about the Montessori environment at the end of this post.
When the leaves turned yellow we made couple trips to Prospect Park to capture this beautiful transition.
And right on the beginning of November Sophia started pointing her finger to everything, especially to the tops of the trees…

And as it happens in New York, the leaves did not even fall down, there was a snow storm. Here is Sophia seeing snow for the first time.
And then her grandparents visited us
Together with 20+ friends and family Sophia celebrated her first Thanksgiving.
After a busy day – it’s good to relax and stretch … perpendicular. She also likes to sleep in the exact same position as her father.
and then wake up at 7:30am very cute and happy.

And recently when Sophia almost turned 11 months she started balancing without holding on to anything.
